Dependencies

InstallIt depends on the following software:

  • Python 2.x (not sure exactly which version is required, but 2.3 or 2.4 should do it)

For building source tarballs, you should at least have the most common build tools like make, configure etc. (see this page for information about the GNU configure and build system).

Everything else is probably already provided by your Linux distribution (like RPM on RedHat/Fedora, DEB on Ubuntu/Debian etc.).
